Mama's Reading List :: 2013

Find all of my reading lists here.

This list represents my personal reading log for 2013 and will be added to throughout the year. It isn't a list of suggestions- some I would recommend, others not so much. I make recommendations at the end of each year, but feel free to ask me if you have questions about any particular titles before then. I love talking about books! :)

  2. It's not too bad, though I like the LLL book much better.

    Honestly, I got so distracted by the horrendous justifications for "selective reduction" that I'm having a hard time picking it back up. Very disturbing.

  3. I guess I forgot that part. I did find the details between different kinds of twins, identical versus fraternal, interesting as well as the tips for listening to your body to make sure they stay in there as long as possible. Also, at one part I believe she states twins actually gain weight quicker than singletons just in case they do arrive early. God is great in His plan! May God Bless you and your family.

    1. You're right- the descriptions of different kinds of wins are great! I've referenced that part several times- we recently discovered that our twins have separate sacs but share one placenta, so the jury's still out on whether they are identical or fraternal. :)

  4. Hope you enjoy Twinspiration! ;) (Even if just to get an idea of what you DON'T want to do! ;) ) Our twins are now 11, and the adventure just continues! See you are also reading a Jane Yolen text, did you know she has a fabulous book of twin poetry? (Wish it had been around when our two were younger.)

    1. What fun to hear from you! :) I did enjoy Twinspiration- you know what part I found most helpful? When you described, in detail, how to get in and out of the car with two infants. :) Nobody else talks about the logistics of these things! And I was (am) having a hard time visualizing how to juggle two babies and do things like... get in the van. And brush my teeth. ;)

      Thanks for the heads-up on Jane Yolen's book of twin poetry! I haven't heard of it before!
