I love this shot! The colors are so vivid, but you didn't blow out your whites. I can never do that. If I'm trying to get super rich color like that, my whites are blown to kingdom come. Here's my (overblown) picture: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=497652046942687&set=a.143082762399619.28122.142929689081593&type=1&theater
Have you ever used PSE? I'm wondering what things you can do in Lightroom that I can't do in PSE. When I shoot in RAW I can adjust the vibrance, so I'll try that. But I know I always deliberately overexpose my pictures because I like everything to look light and airy (and by association, "clean").
I haven't, Cari, so I don't know a lot about the differences. I think the biggest difference is that Lightroom manages your photos for you (as an organizational system). I think (keyword: think) that photoshop elements is a stronger editing software, but Lightroom is excellent for organizing and enhancing.
I still shoot Jpegs but one of my goals for this year is to switch to RAW because I'm starting to notice how shooting in Jpeg limits what I can do in Lightroom.
I like overexposed images, too. :) It's WAY easier than cleaning the house, right? ;)
The colors are so bright! It screams summer to me:) Here is my shot:http://kingamonika.blogspot.com/2013/02/manual-mode-monday.html Honestly I have to come up with better ideas...

That's probably thanks to the "vibrance" slider on Lightroom. :)
DeleteGreat shot, by the way- hilarious, as usual. And, I like your purple chairs.

Love flower shots in the dead of winter! Thanks for linking up! :)
DeleteI love this picture. I got a canon rebel t2i last year and just started using the manual mode, thanks to your inspiration. :-)
