Outside my window...
Same old, same old. Cold, icy, gray.I am thankful for...
Buckets of grace. They are being dumped in abundance already. (more on that later!)I am thinking about...
Lent. Kind of. Are you, too? I cannot believe it starts next week- I'm not anywhere near ready! If you are looking for some ways to make your Lenten observances super simple, click the button below. I will be clicking it myself later. When I'm really ready to think about Lent.In the Schoolroom...
We talked bare-bones homeschooling and I find myself already slipping into some of those simplified plans, much earlier than intended. It's okay, though- I have this tendency to forget how much work pregnancy is. I assume I can barrel right through and then ease up when a baby (or in my current case, babies) are born, but that's just not how it works, girls. We're easing up, staying focused on important stuff, and reading aloud as often as possible. It's good. From the kitchen...
The kitchen is still Andy's terrain. I'm almost clearing this morning sickness- I can feel myself turning the corner. Almost but not quite.
I am creating...
lots of time and space to put my feet up every day. I'm only 14 weeks but there are two babies in there and my body can tell the difference!
I am working on...
Making lists. I'm prioritizing some before-the-babies-get-here projects. Many of them revolve around making digital photobooks, so I'll have to carve out some regular time to work on them.Clicking Around...

Meghan.I am hearing...
Prim baking up something chocolatey in the kitchen; Tulip watching a video on the other computer; the boys banging around outside. Snapdragon is trying to earn some money, so he's helping Andy clean out the garage.Around the house...
Learning all kinds of lessons in letting go. If my newly-married self could see my current-self's version of a "clean enough" house... well, let's not go there. Surely becoming more relaxed is a sign of maturity. Right? Right?!One of my favorite things...
Family nights when, after putting Miss Posy Pie to bed, the rest of us gather to watch Chopped. This is becoming a more and more frequent happening around here, and it's all kinds of awesome.
A few plans for the rest of the week...
Get to a bit of school. Think about Lent. Prepare for it? Work on some writing projects and check the mail obsessively until my new lens arrives. Oh my, I need to tell you about my new lens! Guess it's time to write another Shutter Speak post. I'm ramping the photography UP UP UP around here. I've got to, see? In less than six months I'm going to have two new babies to photograph and I plan to do it right.A picture thought...
My twinsie bump at 14 weeks.
I'm running about 6-8 weeks bigger this time than I did with Posy. Oh yeah, baby. I'm gonna get HUGE. :)

If you're on facebook, there a couple of groups for twin moms that Karen Kerkhoff Gromada comments on - La Leche League for moms of twins/multiples & Naturally Parenting Twins. The first group is much smaller, but both have lots of experienced moms and have been very useful to me!
ReplyDeleteWith 2.5-month-old twins (as well as a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old), it's definitely going to be a simply Lent this year - looking forward to those suggestions!
Oh yay!!! Baby pic! You look beautiful as always and yes you will be huge and lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd I definitely have a lot of "maturing" to do. Can. not. let. go.
Oh yes i remember that twin bump well and also the swollen feet towards the end! And now my youngest twin is expecting a baby of her own ... thirty weeks and counting!

ReplyDeleteletting go of the house a bit? absolutely a sign of maturity. i'm getting it now with baby 4, & i feel like my whole life has come into sharper focus by letting the crumbs stay over night sometimes. :)

ReplyDeleteAfter everything you've been through with your morning sickness you still look radiant Sarah!! And yes, you're going to be very BIG with twins...just like you've always wanted. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, And you're not going to share what lens you got yet??!!!
Ok, fine. :P
DeleteI got the Sigma 30mm F/1.4. They have it on super sale at B&H because Sigma is getting ready to release a new model. I need a wider angle for indoor shots, so.... Perfect! I don't think it's going to come till next week. I can't wait to play with it!
Looking good Bear...
