Yeah. Just a bit. :)
We had a rough week. Two of those three babes had ear infections- that twin up there on my left (Dewy) also had a perforated ear drum. Poor honey. Everyone seems to be on the upswing now, so I'm stealing a few minutes to show you how I've been making my pumpkin spice lattes at home this year.
First, though, I want to know about your favorite iPad apps. For you? For your kids? For your husband? I got some great ideas here; now I want to hear your favorites! My birthday was last week, and Andy spoiled me rotten. Took me totally by surprise! :) I also need an indestructible case because Posy is rather obsessed with it. Got a recommendation for me?
Okay: Pumpkin Spice Latte. Dairy-free. At home. This is neither cheap nor healthy, but it's quick and easy. Elizabeth is working on a much more healthful version of this- you know, with real pumpkin and all that- but these days I don't have free hands for very long (or at all) (refer to picture above). If I want a pumpkin spice anything, I have to make it the lazy girl's way.
1. Heat up a mug of coconut milk in the microwave.
2. Dump in a packet of Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Via. (Oh, and when your husband asks you how much this costs, pretend like you can't remember. Works like a charm. Via just ain't cheap.)
3. Froth it with one of these dinglehoppers.
4. Sip while nursing twins, wrangling a toddler, and homeschooling three big kids. Or in peace. Whichever is your reality.
Keep your eye out for Elizabeth's recipe, which I'm sure she'll blog soon for those of you who have more than 4.3 seconds of hands-free time during any part of the day or night. :)
For now, I'm off to snuggle these. Which means my hands will be very full once more.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
