I mean it.
If you're pregnant with twins... heck, if you're pregnant at all, take heart. What you are doing is hard. And worth it. And the rest of us are eternally grateful that you're sacrificing your body, your comfort, and quite possibly your sanity in order to bring another beautiful soul (or two!) into the world to build up the Kingdom of God.
Whenever I see a pregnant mama out and about, I always want to stop and say, "Good job, Mama! You are doing a Very Hard Thing! I know you're tired and your body hurts and you just want to be done, but hang in there honey, because you are rocking it." But then I don't, because I'm just a bit too extroverted for my poor husband and children's sensibilities, and I'm fairly sure I'd embarrass them all to death if I gushed to every pregnant woman the way I feel inclined to. So instead, I just smile and tell her she's wearing cute shoes.
I do think my twin pregnancy changed me, though. Growing twins is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I was given so much love and support all throughout my pregnancy, and I feel this really intense desire to pay it forward. I know that sometimes all an achy pregnant lady needs to hear is, "Keep it up; we're all rooting for you!"
So if you are pregnant and are sick-sick-sick or just plain tired or every cell in your body hurts or all of the above... Keep it up! We're all rooting for you! You are doing a very hard, very wonderful, very supernatural thing, co-creating with God. Your child's life is a gift to all of us.
Now... where was I? Oh right. Goals.
